Divestment Questions

citizens.matt_lee.ASUC-Senate-Meet-to-discuss-the-possibility-of-creating-a-new-fitness-and-health-center-that-would-serve-students-unable-to-easily-access-the-RSF-698x450Tonight, the ASUC will vote on SB 160, which calls for a divestment of UC assets from companies that support the Israeli military, thereby contributing to what some call apartheid in Israel/Palestine. The bill also targets companies that contribute to the continued settlement of the West Bank, which has been a constant point of contention and often conflict in this struggle.

When this bill, introduced by Senator George Kadifa, comes to a vote, Caliber Magazine will be present.
