Which Black Friday Shopper Are You?

by on Nov, 23 2012

The day after Thanksgiving has become just as much of a holiday as Turkey Day itself. An event where everyone can come together for one common goal, it is when everyone can start and finish all Christmas shopping within one 24-hour period. More than just a time for spending though, it seems this “holiday” has developed into somewhat of a culture. And whether you’re at Walmart, Target, Macy’s, or a local business down the street, you’re bound to stumble upon some of these classic Black Fri-die Hards.

The Go-Getter

You’ve been cutting coupons for weeks, Googling the best deals around, and have already cleaned out your mini van to make room for all your Black Friday finds. You don’t have to dig for deals, you know exactly what you want, where to find it, and how much you’re saving. You never cease until eveything is crossed off your list, which isn’t much of a stuggle for an experienced Black Friday shopper like yourself. With expertise and grace, you strategically manuever your way through the store as if it were your second home. Go get ‘em Go-Getter!

The Hostess with the Mostess

Black Friday is more than just a sale, it’s a social event! With your hot chocolate machine, nachos, and homemade chocolate chip cookies, everyone outside Target knows you as the camper to befriend. Black Friday is your Superbowl, and the tailgate before the kickoff is just as important to you as the game itself!

The Hot Shot

Obviously since you have been camping outside Best Buy since November 18, you are the most dedicated shopper and therefore attain a higher status than anyone else wishing to score a bargain on Black Friday. You might have even brought your TV and reclining lawn chair, proving to the rest of the world that you mean business, and don’t plan on going anywhere until you’ve gotten that new flat screen. Your front-of-the line label is more than just an early entry to whatever wonderland you will be shopping at, it’s a symbol of your prestige, you are the envy of every shopper behind you.

The Enforcer

Bargain tactic of choice? Intimidation. You have been training for this day since Labor Day; push-ups, weight-lifting, and, of course, cardio to out-run the opening door rush. One look at you and shopping competitors drop what they are holding. No shame here. You aren’t afraid to take things out of people’s hands, elbow your way through a crowd, and have already been asked to leave various other sales for “aggressive behavior”. You don’t care about that woman’s kids who want the Xbox for Christmas, that’s yours, and you’re willing to fight for it!

The Cyber Briber

Unable to take a complete break from League of Legends, you’ve decided to bypass the crowds and havoic to take advantage on the online sales. The world is at your fingertips, and while your orders are processing, you can jump right back into the game! No need to get out of bed, get dressed, or do anything other than sit, play, and spend.
