Voldemort Went to Stanford

Not a big football fan? That’s okay. If you’re a Cal student, it is likely that you probably have some abstractly rooted immense hate for Stanford, which reaches its apex the week before the Stanford vs. Cal football game, also known as Big Game Week. Although the odds are not in Cal’s favor to take home the win this Saturday, there’s no reason not to go support the team. To get students pumped for our deeply rooted rivalry with the school across the bay, Cal provides a plethora of activities throughout the week to show how much we all hate Stanford (and anything that’s the color red).

These events are not just for Cal students, but for the Cal community as a whole to take part in the 116^th Big Game, which takes place this Saturday at 1 pm. According to Cal Athletics, “the contest will be televised live by FOX Sports 1” so go all out, bleed your blue and gold and try to make it on that jumbotron over in Palo Alto.

Monday, November 18

11 a.m. – Cable Car Rally (Ghirardelli Square, San Francisco, CA)

Tuesday, November 19

9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Get the Red Out Clothing and Canned Food Drive – Take Off that Red Shirt (Sproul Plaza, Berkeley, CA)

Noon – The Big Sail (San Francisco Yacht Club, San Francisco, CA)

Noon – 6 p.m. – Get the Red Out Blood Drive (Alumni House, Berkeley, CA)

12:30 p.m. – Tree Chopping Rally (Sproul Hall, Berkeley, CA)

8 p.m. – The Big Sing (Toyon Hall, Stanford, CA)

Wednesday, November 20

9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Get the Red Out Clothing and Canned Food Drive – Take Off that Red Shirt (Sproul Plaza, Berkeley, CA)

11 a.m. – Guardsmen Big Game Luncheon (Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco, CA)

7 p.m. – Inside The Locker Room Radio Show (Memorial Stadium Field Club, Berkeley, CA)

8 p.m. – Laugh Your Axe Off (155 Dwinelle Hall, Berkeley, CA)

Thursday, November 21

8 p.m. – Night Rally (Starts at Bowles Hall and runs throughout campus and City of Berkeley ending at Sproul, Berkeley, CA)

Friday, November 22

7 p.m. – Bonfire Rally (The Greek Theatre, Berkeley, CA)

Saturday, November 23

10 a.m. – The Big Splash, Cal at Stanford Men’s Water Polo (Avery Aquatic Center, Stanford, CA)

1 p.m. – The 116th Big Game, Cal at Stanford Football (Stanford Stadium, Stanford, CA)
