It’s finally Thursday and you could not be more relieved as you walk out of your last class knowing that you are done with midterms and papers. You deserve a small celebration, because the entire week prior, you were at Moffitt till 2AM, studying.
At Berkeley, the level of stress never seems to subside. And unfortunately, these past two rounds of midterms are only a glimpse at the amount of stress we will all be experiencing during finals week. But be glad that we have a couple weeks before the stress of finals consumes us all over again.
What makes us fortunate students here at Cal is that we have nature on our side, literally. Our beautiful campus has many spots where one can easily “de-stress” after a long week of studying. They’re spots we often take for granted, but now we that we have a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature, stop and smell the flowers!
Visit these awesome and relaxing post-midterm spots and share yours with us!
1. Eucalyptus Grove
Take a casual stroll and spoil yourself with a smoothie from GBC. Take the time to enjoy the drink and scenery around you.
2. Wickson Natural Area
A bit of a hike, but worth the walk.
3. Faculty Glade
The ultimate spot to take a nap on the lawn where no one will dare to judge; instead, s/he will be jealous that s/he aren’t the one taking the nap.
4. The Campanile
Hear the bells chime every hour with a wonderful view that overlooks the bay.
5. Observatory Hill
Located on the North Side of Campus, Observatory Hill offers students an escape from the hectic South Side and a break from the constant flying on Sproul Plaza.
