FollowLast Friday, Nicholas Dirks was inaugurated as UC Berkeley’s 10th chancellor in a ceremony in which he addressed his goals for the University’s future, including plans to expand research opportunities as well as undergraduate academic services, and better student financial aid and advising.
But during this promising speech all eyes of UC Berkeley’s student body were focused on Dirks’s magnificent ‘brows.
For reasons unknown, Dirk’s acclaimed unibrow is no more, but the magic isn’t gone, for in its place are two equally stunning caterpillars. The eyebrows give Dirk an air of power, of wisdom; through them we know he’s someone fit to look over our fine institution.
