Yet another fire has devoured a favorite Berkeley eatery. A few short months ago, the beloved Cafe Intermezzo and Raleigh’s burned down along with a residential apartment building on Telegraph Ave. Around 9:20 pm last night, a fire broke out in the kitchen of Great China restaurant down on Kittredge Street.  The fire was settled by firefighters approximately two hours later, and damage has been valued at $700,000 so far. The owner, James Yu, says it will be at least six months before the restaurant can reopen. The fire did not affect Razan’s Organic Kitchen next door.
