Looking for something to do on Friday night that is not only fun and supports a good cause but also gets you in the Halloween spirit? Come check out SUPERB’s screening of The Amazing Spiderman, one of summer’s hottest movies, this Friday!

I’m not sure about you but Spiderman is definitely my favorite superhero. Plus, who can pass up that hottie Andrew Garfield alongside the talented and comedic Emma Stone.? I’ve heard this version of Spiderman is new and improved.

There will also be a costume contest and the winner will receive a $25 cheeseboard giftcard and a Spiderman themed gift basket. A photobooth will be set up at the event, complete with props, and the pictures will be posted to Facebook. The person with the most likes by October 31st wins. Start brainstorming those clever costume ideas.

Besides the cool costume contest, SUPERB is partnering with Best Buddies, a nonprofit that pairs people with intellectual and developmental disabilities with mentors to provide leadership and employment development as well as establish a one-on-one friendship. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to Best Buddies. Some local Best Buddies will also be coming to the screening and I’m sure they would love to meet some Berkeley students and feel welcomed on campus.

SUPERB hosts movies all year, past movies have included Brave, The Avengers, and the next movie on Superb’s schedule is The Dark Knight Rises on November 8th. Be sure to grab some friends and head over to Wheeler for a night in at the movies at a discounted rate.
