5 Things Guys Don’t Get About Girls
By Jesse Yeh
Passive Aggressive:I don’t understand why girls have to spend two hours consulting their friends to come up with an elaborate plot and scheme to get what they want. Instead of spending the effort on making a speech that is equivalent to a final essay for rhetoric, why can’t you just tell your parents/ sister/ friend/ boyfriend/ roommate whatever you want them to do?
Awwwwwwww:
What is the purpose of this unintelligible sound!? Most of the things that evoke this response aren’t even that cute. This random proclamation forces people next to you into an awkward position. How am I suppose to react to this? Am I supposed to ignore this sound because I don’t see anything particularly worthy of noting? Or am I supposed to feign interest and burst into an incoherent exclamation of “Awww!! Isn’t that the most cutest pwetty pwetty thing everrr?!”
Matching Outfit:Why do girls dress to match their friends? When people see a group of girls walk by, all wearing hot pink, or teal, or whatever color in unison, no one actually thinks “Awww!! Isn’t that cute?”; people will actually feel pretty creeped out. Plus, doing this makes you look clique-y and stupid. And please, STOP ASKING YOUR BOYFRIEND TO MATCH YOUR OUTFIT!! No, he doesn’t want to match you.
Yes=No
I guess it’s a more specific case of passive aggressiveness. But why do guys have to translate what girls mean, analyze the different contexts of the usages and measure the inflections to interpret what you mean, when we are all speaking English? Communication between people is hard enough as it is: why do girls have to make it harder? And then girls get all upset when guys misinterpret what they try to convey under the subtle difference of delivery.
Hair Attachment
Why is it that girls are so attached/ obsessed with their hair? I’ve seen girls crying when they cut their long hair short. It’s hair. It’s something that starts growing back right after you cut it.
